hey hair...

hm.. hair. something I hadnt thought too much about before, but after looking through the pictures of Eva and Jeremy's wedding I realized I have NO idea what I want to do.

I plan to continue letting it grow, trimming here and there but over all keeping it long.. at least I found a few ideas that work with long hair on http://www.weddingchannel.com/ <- has turned into my #1 resource!!

So this is pretty much what eva had, except hers had her hair swept back behind her and covered by a veil. I dont know how I feel about a veil especially when I think of what a veil traditionally meant..

ok so I stole this from www.seiyaku.com/customs/veil/veil.html incase you want to read the whole article..

"It's commonly believed that it is bad luck for groom to see his bride in her dress before the ceremony, and therefore a veil was used to conceal her. In fact, in the old days of arranged marriages, the groom rarely saw his bride at all before the wedding day. If she was ugly, a veil might have prevented him from running away. But everyone knows there's no such thing as an ugly bride. A bride is always somewhere between 'very pretty' and 'absolutely gorgeous'. Veiling the bride is a symbolic way of tantalizing the groom by concealing her beauty until he becomes her husband and is permitted to see her."

I hope scott knows what hes getting into before he lifts my veil!! lol!

Anyway.... back to hair. :)

I also dont want to go too simple with it.. I like this though.. with the flower. I think depending on the complexity of my dress I might do something simple like this. ->

I dont know though.. again when I look at it on her I like it.. but if the back of my dress is too high it might look too busy.

I loooove this though. I have time to think about it anyway... I shouldnt worry too much.

What IS the right time to start thinking about hair though??

hello again

Soo... You're never going to guess what I did last night. lol I fell down the stairs.. cartoon style. I was walking (ok.. I guess kinda fast walking..) and I was barefoot, I came out of Scott's room and the hallway light was out.. Scott was following me so I figured he would turn on the light like he usually does. So my terrible night vision and I went to take the first step down the stairs and somehow I guess I missed?? lol don't really know what happened, I suppose my heel slipped but i went down, hard. I landed on my back and hit my head off the top step before sliding down the stairs on my butt, acquiring some pretty nasty rug burn in the process. At some point my left hand grabbed the banister, stopping my slide. I did happen to notice the lights go on someplace in the middle of this so I guess Scott was right behind me. He later said that by the time he turned on the lights I had already fallen. Of course being the good fiance that he is, he ran down after me. "Are you ok?! what happened?" Then my waterworks started. "I [hic] don't knowwww" well I knew. lol I had fallen. It wasn't that hard to figure out. So I sat there like a 5 year old and blubbered for a little bit, then got up and regained my dignity. So my back was a little scraped up and sore, but no other damage. [whew] When I woke up this morning it felt like I had been hit by a truck. Physically I'm just a little scratched and bruised, nothing too extreme. We're a bit worried about a mild concussion I might have.. tell me if this sounds concussion-ish.

My left pupil is dilating and undilating (is that a word?!) but they aren't the same and I get a little dizzy when I shake my head. Doesn't everyone? I dunno. Now Scott is asking (texting) me really basic (dumb) questions to see if I have memory loss. (who is the president.. ok, that's a good one, but what is my name? my address? the town I grew up in? yea...) I don't. lol In fact I honestly think I'm fine. He wants to come home and take me to the hospital, but honestly I just don't need the bills right now. Especially when I think I'm ok. My neck and back are sore but its nothing some Advil wont cure. Whatever. I'll keep you updated.

Ok. Lets talk wedding for a moment or two to make this blog legitimate.

So I finally asked Meghan and Carolynn (Scott's two sisters) to be my bridesmaids. (woo hoo!!) And they were more than excited to say yes. Carrie's getting married on Oct 10th so needless to say, shes pretty busy at the moment. She said "gimme a few weeks and we'll have some fun." I was talking to her last night (before my falling down the stairs excitement) and I told her that I want the color to be hunter green. She liked that b/c she said she looks good in green. lol

I have almost everything I want planned out.. I just need Scott's opinions. I figured I'll just write it all down now, all my ideas and everything, and then I'll find out what Scott thinks about things. I really hope he comes up with some ideas and actually plays an active role in the wedding. (well besides being the groom. lol) So far he's playing the "whatever you like dear" card and I'm totally not down for that. I want some serious ideas!!! I don't want this to be all me. Has anyone else had this problem? I dunno. Again, I'll keep you posted. Well now I may or may not be headed to the hospital. He's such a worrier.
